1. the act/aco nnmwc 2010 is scheduled to take place from 31 may-03 june 2010 in ostend, belgium
at nmw coe eguermin (egm).
2. nations are requested to participate with their national senior naval mine warfare representative
3. the presence of representatives of jwc, nurc, and coes, in particular cjos, csw, dat and nmiotc in the light of the integral planning approach would be highly appreciated and would constitute a substantial added
value for the deliverables.
4. the meeting will be open to nato, partnership for peace (pfp), mediterranean dialogue (md) members and istanbul cooperation initiative (ici) nations.
5. the tentative program 31 may-03 jun 10:
a. 31 may: opening of the conference at 15.00 hrs by vadm hans-jochen witthauer (deu n)
(under consideration) followed by an ice-breaker on board sailing vessel mercator
b. 01-02 jun: nato plus pfp, md and ici members session
c. 03 jun: nato-only session (if required), closure of business nlt 12.00 hrs
6. the conference theme will be quote mcm in combat unquote. To cope with the need of increasing
the nmw awareness within the international community, this theme was chosen to extend the joint
perspective of mcm. commands and nations are requested to forward hot topics or relevant updates
and progression in nmw business that they would like to present or to discuss during the conference
asap but nlt 05 apr 10 by email at general address nmw-coe@eguermin.org .
