International Courses

EGUERMIN offers International naval mine warfare and naval mine warfare related courses and training/facilities for Navy personnel and mine countermeasures vessels. These courses and instruction at the training facilities are given in English. Good command of the English language is a necessity. In consultation with the school the French language may be used in exceptional cases.

Two months in advance of the course Eguermin will send the student, via his authorities, the “joining instructions” and an “information sheet”.  This information sheet, requesting information of the student, has to be completed and sent to Eguermin as soon as possible.

  • A maximum and minimum amount of participants has been set for each course. Should the minimum quorum for a particular course not be met, the course could be cancelled.

Dress :
The military uniform is worn during service hours.

Military accommodation and messing facilities :
Unless agreed prior to the course (exceptional case), the students will be individually charged cash in euro for their military accommodation and messing facilities (no credit cards/cheques !).
Belgium considers the single occupancy rooms to be of LtCdr or lower rank standard; nonetheless higher ranks can be housed in the school if they so desire but the school will give priority to the lower ranks in case insufficient military accommodation is available.     Then by taxi or 5 minutes walk
